Deep in the heart of the Queensland outback, in certified organic cattle fattening country, the town of Bedourie stands as a testament to the resilience of rural communities. Bedourie is located in the Channel Country of Central West Queensland, Australia and hosted the Channel Country Ladies Day in 2023. Established in 1886, the Bedourie Hotel is built from adobe bricks and has been continuously operating ever since. The current owner, Jim Smith, has owned the hotel since 1971. The Bedourie Hotel is the meeting place for travellers in the outback, with icy cold beer and an atmosphere you will only find in an outback pub.
