The Channel Country Ladies Day is organised by a volunteer committee that put in thousands of hours each year to make the event a success. The Channel Country Ladies Day was developed in 2012 to bring women together from across a large geographic area to socially connect as social isolation is a significant issue for women in remote western Queensland. Thanks to this amazing committee, the event continues to be held in outback Queensland. The event offers women a safe environment to openly share and discuss emotions, access women’s health while at the same time have fun and enjoy themselves, form new friendships and engage in the creative arts.
